A couple days ago, I began the venture of relearning how to use photoshop. As for the reason, you could probably chuck it up to many things: irregular sleep schedule, lack of employment, boredome, all of the above... But, as a result, my blog has a new title banner. I guess the inspiration came as a mix between a movie poster and the name of the blog itself (I think it sounds like an ye olden time name like Henry the 8th).
I'd like to give a special thanks to Jacen Paige who helped me get back into photoshop (while showing me some cool tricks along the way). Also thanks to a Ms. Alison Treat who was official photographer for this project and put up with me dressing oddly, being ridiculous, and striking random poses.

The Warriors Way
If you follow the blogs Heathrow or the Queen of Cakes you might know that I suffered a decently traumatic accident over this past spring break. Long story short I fractured my skull and had to have brain surgery. By the grace of God, and with the help of my friends and family, I recovered quickly and was able to graduate from Oklahoma Christian on time.
Now that the extensive backstory is done and everyone is caught up, on to the not so serious part. Over the course of the summer, I have made several attempts to get back into a consistent work out routine without much success. Before the accident I participated In OC's annual Spring Sing Show (a decent amount of cardio) and worked out on a regular basis. After said accident... not so much. That is, until I received a visit from my sister and her new husband.
See they have been consistently training with the popular P90X home work out routine. I would see them try different work outs from day to day and think, "I can do that no problem." Well I finally tried it from its starting point and I have to admit that it kicked my butt. Afterwards and for the rest of today (and most likely tomorrow) I could barely move my arms. Which, I have to say, is a felling I have missed.
I suppose all of this is a round about way of saying thank you to Bonnie and Jacen for giving me back my warrior spirit. And who knows, perhaps after the soreness has subsided and after many workouts to come. I can turn this broken man...

and turn him into this...
(Note: the already uncanny resemblance)
